Science
Mrs Worthington
Taking a look at the current topics being explored by our upper grade level science students, there are a variety of interesting topics being covered. AP Biology students are investigating plant hydration principles. The Physics students are applying their recent learning to the construction of toothpick bridges, and the Earth and Space science students are learning about cloud formations.
The seventh grade students have been exploring the topic of systems. Students understand that all systems involve input, processes, and outputs. The students recognize that there are many systems in multicellular organisms. Feel free to ask a NP-MHS seventh grade student about the circulatory systems of plants and animals. They would be glad to show off their knowledge about the vascular structures that support life for a variety organisms. Over the next couple days, we will explore virtual and in-class specimens of various tissues, organs, and systems.
