Family Information Night week

This week many of you were able to attend our grade level Family Information Nights. I want to publicly thank our staff for their attendance and participation. This is just one more way of growing our school community. In case you were unable to attend, here are the links to each of the presentations.

5th grade

6th grade

7th and 8th grade

Please contact one of our teachers or me if you have any questions or comments after looking over the presentations.

Practice starts next Tuesday

Practice, formerly known as Homework Club, begins after school next Tuesday, September 22nd. Practice is held nearly every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:15-5:15 in the Intermediate School library. I am there and so are some of our teachers. There is no need to sign up but students need to bring something to work on our read. If they tell me they have nothing to read, we'll find a book together because we meet in the library. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me.

Grief Support Program for Children, Teens, and Families

Attached to the email containing this smore are brochures from Healing Hearts, a Waukesha County organization that offers grief support for children 4-18 years of age as well as the adults who care for them. The brochures have information on the weekly grief-support program as well as an explanation of the Healing Heart program. Please contact me for any further information.

Beyond the Bake Sale book discussion

Beginning in October, I would like to have a book discussion with any interested parents and staff. The book we will discuss is Beyond the Bake Sale. Here is a link to some Amazon reviews of the book, but don't buy it! I'll get you a copy if you are interested in joining us. Deadline to sign up is Friday, September 25th.
