I'm super close with my family. I'm from Greenville, so I try to go home as much as possible. My parents have supported me through anything I've ever tried. My brother is only 4 years older than me so we've had our ups and downs but now that I'm in college I've become super close with him.
I've known that I've wanted to be a teacher since I was in first grade. I was the student that the teacher would put the bad students beside, so that I would keep them on task. I've toyed with other occupations (bakery owner, veterinarian, stay at home mom). But teaching has always had my heart. I enjoy kids and the look in someone's eye when they finally get something.
Best Education Memory
My best education memory would be when I was in fourth grade. I had just recently moved and did not know anyone. My teacher greeted me halfway through the year with open arms, even though I did not want to be there. I stayed after school a couple days the first couple weeks to catch up with the other students, since I was a little behind moving from a different school. She was the first teacher to spend one-on-one time with me and help me during my first time being behind. It stuck with me and I still remember Mrs. Greer to this day because of her helpfulness.
