NEWS FROM AROUND THE DISTRICT
A CAPELLA AT THE ROCK ENJOYS ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR OF SONG
Saturday, March 30 was a truly amazing day for North Choirs and almost 300 additional high school students from the area, as they spent the day learning all things a cappella from professionals in the field and from the a cappella group, Street Corner Symphony.
In the evening, each of the ten participating schools competed and enjoyed a performance from Street Corner Symphony. They then took part in the wonderful finale that you can see below. It was a magical evening of song, with an auditorium of high school students all cheering each other on to perform their very best.
This year marks the 6th A Cappella at the Rock. Special thanks to Mr. Jared Williams, CR North Music Director. Planning for this event began in August of 2018 and continued throughout the school year - a true labor of love for Mr. Williams.
