Counseling Corner

HI Blue Bear Family & Friends!

Happy February!!! Aubie and I have been enjoying welcoming students into our Counseling Classroom! We have space for counseling lessons and groups! It truly is a great space to learn about and grow social-emotional intelligence in our students. Last month, we took a Magic Carpet ride to the Land of Sharing, World of Work, Land of Working Together, and Land of Being Polite (K-2) and The Land of Self-Regulation, World of Work, Land of Problem Solving. We also talked about GRIT/Perseverance!

This month we are focusing on Live to Give and how we are all Unique & Wonders! I’m also excited to announce that our Live to Give project to share backpacks with a school in Africa helped 30 children! They were so excited!!! Thank you April Escobar for letting us be a part of this!

Mrs. Hobbs is looking for volunteers to help straighten and “tidy-up” the bookshelves in the media center. There is a constant need for volunteers. If you are already volunteering in a classroom and can drop by the media center to help out for 10-15 minutes that would be awesome. Waiting in the car rider line and bored? Come to the media center for a few minutes and the time will fly by! Thank you for your assistance!

Read Across America Day

March 2nd the school will be celebrating Read Across America. This is a book character dress-up day. We are encouraging students to dress up as characters from a favorite book. Let’s have fun showing off all our favorite stories.

Let's try to show Live to Give in our community!
