Grades 5-6 Parents/Guardians-We Need YOU!
Parents/Guardians in Grades 5-6: Have you taken the opportunity to sign up to volunteer for playground/lunchroom supervision? With the busy holiday season upon us, we wanted to give you ample time to choose days that best fit your schedule! There are several spots open in November and only two spots open in December.
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer for the month of November for 6th Grade or December for 5th grade, each time slot being 11:00-1:00.
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Lunch/Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:00 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting students to the cafeteria from recess, and supervising in the cafeteria. Volunteers will be with one teacher and two "core" volunteers each day to help direct. Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the grade level link to pick a time convenient for you: Grade 6 or Grade 5.
SPB Junior Youth Group--6th-8th Grade
SPB's Youth Group, "The Summit," headed by Ms. Mickol, is focused on helping the youth of our parish to know, love, and serve Jesus. It is a great way for kids to come together in a safe and fun environment to grow closer to God, and learn the value of serving others. Our meetings are in the Rectory on Sundays from 5:30-6:45, with 7:00 Mass to follow. Below is a sign-up link of dates throughout the year for your son or daughter to join us in the many service opportunities and events the Youth Group provides. You can also look for us on Facebook for event updates or click here to view our Youth Group Fall Schedule. We hope your middle schooler will join us!
