ANNOUNCEMENTS
Weekly Update
Happy Friday everyone,
Hope you are enjoying your day off and this long weekend! Fingers crossed for some nice weather! This school year has been amazing and it is hard to believe that we are just 6 weeks away from summer break. Time is flying!
We have been battling some illness in the Assmann household this past week. Jordan, Anne, Kate, and Luke have all had something at some point this week which just makes the grind that much more difficult. Hoping to get everyone 100% soon! Through all of that, it allowed me to reflect a bit...
We all have had those tough moments at various times throughout this school year, right? The moments where maybe you didn't feel 100% or moments when our students challenged us to the point of frustration. Or moments when we the job was just tough! Speaking for myself, I know one thing that gets me through those tough times...YOU!
I want to say thank you to our amazing staff for your dedication to excellence and dedication to every student who walks through our doors. Every day I am reminded by your example that we ARE the Dublin Difference and doing right by our students. What gets me through those tough times are the amazing people around me. I cannot begin to thank you all enough and for all that you bring to the table. Thank you for the laughs and for continuing to grind to support kids! This is a busy time of the year but we got this and I am so blessed to be at IRE and work with so many amazing people.
Enjoy the extended weekend! If you need any support or have any questions, let us know. Check out the updates below, there are quite a few :)

Safety Update from Chuck Collier
- Dublin City Schools follows best practices for classroom doors and best practice is that classroom doors remain in the locked position all day just in case an intruder/active aggressor entered the building.
- The door itself can and should be kept open or ajar throughout the day, but the door should remain locked to make it quick and easy to close/lock if needed.
Retention
- If you have a student you think is a candidate for retention, please connect with Amber and Marty this week.
