Furr Elementary -Growing Leaders

Principal's Message!

Good Afternoon Furr Families!

Hello All,

I am thrilled that we have started our Raise Craze fundraiser and Kindness Campaign! The kiddos are working hard thinking of ways to serve the community, Furr Elementary and their families with some very interesting and creative acts of kindness. Our hope is to not only have a short campaign of kindness but to carry out this mission for the entirety of the school year and for years to come!! While we may fall short because we are all human, the more important part is to keep our eyes on the goal. Keep striving to lead with kindness and grace in our interactions.

Everyday I see our students doing random acts of kindness for others, at Furr Elementary. I am touched and humbled by these selfless acts. They teach me everyday to be a better person, a kind person, a thoughtful person, an empathetic person. Please encourage your child that as we go through our week, to encourage each of us to be thoughtful, be empathetic, and be patient with each other!

As always, thank you all for your support at Furr Elementary. Thank you for entrusting us with your children so that we can make the world a better place. . . . Be Kind!

Respectfully,

Cindy Zukowski

Principal, Furr Elementary

DISMISSAL UPDATE: BACK CAR LINE!

As we continue to make the pick-up process as safe and as efficient as possible, we will be making changes to the back car line this week. On Wednesday Sept. 25th, the back car line (M-Z) , will go to a two lane process. Meaning, twice the amount of students will be loading into cars at one time. Thank you for your patience as we implement this process, this week.

WATCHING OUT for BIKE RIDERS, SCOOTERS & WALKERS!

Parents. This is just a reminder to be vigilant about watching out for students on bikes, on scooters and/or walking before you enter any intersections in your car. Also, please continue to remind your student to look both ways before they cross an intersection. Thank you for your continued help with this. Everyone's safety is paramount!
