PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Getting to know ourselves and our emotions is a never ending job! Starting early, is the best way to encourage success and empathy towards others.
This week we have been exploring those feelings and emotions through nursery rhymes and stories.
Kids starred "Little Miss Muffet" by taking turns and role-playing getting frightened or scared by a spider.
We also read "The Kissing Hand" and got familiar with our Safe Place, as getting separated from our homes and relatives is one of the many challenges our children will face these first few weeks of school. We also reviewed the breathing techniques suggested by our Conscious Discipline program and kids are now empowered with valuable tools that will support them throughout the year.
Next week, is "ALL ABOUT ME". We will learn more about who we are by having different activities.
Please take your time to read through the REMINDERS section below to find out how are we going to develop this project.
Objectives of the week:
- Participates cooperatively and constructively in group situations
- Regulates own emotions and behaviors
- Demonstrates fine-motor strength and coordination
- Uses language to express thoughts and needs
