Fall is Here...
Fall is quickly approaching here in Nebraska.
While it has been unbelievably rainy and at times dreary, the moisture will give the trees abundant color as they begin to turn. That is something to look forward to! Endure the discomfort in the weather now...knowing good will come because of it. That is exactly how we can learn to live our lives...knowing and trusting good will come from the tough times.
I listened to an interview with Senator John McCain from several years ago. The question was posed to him about enjoying life...." With all you have been through as a POW in Vietnam, are you able to enjoy your life or did that dark period in your life take over the enjoyment you used to have prior to Vietnam?" He replied, "I am grateful for every sunrise and every sunset, I am grateful for all I get to do and experience every day. That dark period made me more grateful for my life and thus I enjoy it more."
Would you be able to respond this way? It is worth pausing and considering...How do I deal with and handle difficult times in my life?
We want to invite you to take time for yourself, your marriage, your family or your children to come and experience the power of working with horses. We tend to waste so much time in our lives reading self-help books or escaping to self-destructive distractions when we don't feel good, or we know something isn't right within ourselves or in our family.
We've all had that nagging "spider web" in our heads that won't leave us alone...reminding us of our unhappiness, sadness, anger or disappointment. Come to the country to experience the fine art of letting go, surrendering our battles, and gain a sense of mastery, of accomplishment...to begin to find the power that lies within you to be who you were made to be. This then lends itself to change in your world.
How we approach the horses is how we approach life....find your change at the barn.

Blended Parenting
Sunday, September 23. 1 - 5 pm
Developing happy and harmonious relationships in any family comes with its challenges, but blending two different families has its own particular bumps and bright spots. It can take several years, or more, for stepfamilies to find a groove that is comfortable for everyone.
The early years can be particularly challenging. Not only are new couples getting to know each other and developing their own relationship, there are relationships with biological and stepchildren to nurture as well.
Does the stress of step-parenting sometimes push you to the edge? Are you worried and upset about the clashes that your new partner is having with your children? What can you do to build a healthy blended family and make a good mix?
Join us for an afternoon of discussion, tips and guidelines.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Thursday, September 20.
