Cafeteria Meal Charge Policy
We hope your child has had a great start to the school year! As we move forward in the year, we want to ensure that every family is aware of the new cafeteria meal charge policy for Waxahachie ISD.
If students do not have money on their meal account, they will be allowed to charge up to $10.00. Waxahachie ISD will make every effort to contact parents to ensure they are aware of the negative balance on their child’s account.
Once they have reached the charge limit of $10.00, students will receive a sack lunch containing a cheese sandwich, piece of fruit, and milk. Until the account is paid, this is the meal students will receive each day.
The full meal charge policy is available on page 78 of the Waxahachie ISD Student Handbook, which can be accessed here: https://1.cdn.edl.io/LFNWQQBni3eX28XslzexeggZ5g5GnC3VdEr6lw3eMp7SGTTu.pdf.
We encourage parents to set up low balance notifications for their child’s meal account at www.myschoolbucks.com. You can easily add funds to your child’s account online to prevent negative balance issues.
If you believe your child may qualify for free or reduced meals, the program application is available here: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application (English) or here: https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application (Spanish).
