Constitutional and Founding Era Myths in our Textbooks

Upcoming workshop for Social Studies teachers

On September 12, Dr. Ray Raphael will be at the St. Cloud State Graduate Center in Maple Grove to present an evening workshop, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., on teaching about the U.S. Constitution and the American Revolution. Dr. Raphael is the author of numerous books on the American Revolution, the Founding Fathers and the role of the Presidency. That evening, Dr. Raphael will be specifically speaking about his newest book “Constitutional Myths: What We Get Wrong and How to Get it Right,” as well as his earlier work “Founding Myths: Stories that Hide our Patriotic Past.” He will share many teaching ideas and strategies on these topics. The workshop is free to all educators. Space is limited, and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
