Keeping You Informed! Re-opening Plan

Students will attend in-person classes Monday through Thursday, with virtual instruction on Fridays. Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and 1st-grade students whose parents chose virtual instruction will continue to learn virtually, Monday through Friday.
Frontier Schools will continue to provide virtual instruction for grades 2-12, Monday through Friday. All of our students are expected to complete their coursework in Google Classroom and/or Edgenuity by the end of the second semester to be promoted to the next grade level. Frontier teachers, administrators, and support staff constantly monitor students’ course completion data. Each Frontier Schools campus administration may ask students to attend in-person instruction for grades 2-12 based on the student’s individual course completion data.

Representative Ingrid Burnett Virtually Visits FSI Elementary!
After Representative Burnett's visit with students, school administrators along with the Director of Advocacy with Missouri Charter Public School Association shared key information about Frontier Schools along with their concerns with the funding disparity between district and charter schools. We enjoyed our visit with Representative Burnett and we look forward to an on-going partnership.

Virtual Home Visits
Teachers and school staff have virtually visited 848 students in 812 homes since the start of the 2020-21 school year.
Home visits, whether virtual or in-person, are paramount in bridging cultural gaps that might exist. These visits also provide opportunities for staff to understand their students better by visiting them in their home environments.
A SHOUT-OUT to our teachers & staff! Thank you for everything you do!

FSHS State-of-the-Art Innovation Lab
Frontier Schools’ is planning to build a modern, state-of-the-art Innovation Lab attached to the Frontier STEM High School.
This project-based approach is an essential part of immersive STEM education; it makes the experience real for the students. They will be able to conceive a project, be it a product or prototype, and follow the production process from conception to physical reality. Students will understand the technology that powers their creations; both the hardware and the software. The goal is to build a strong, authentic knowledge-based theory to applied skills in STEM education, ensuring Frontier’s high school graduates will be prepared to enter collegiate level science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs with the skills to succeed on day one.
