Permian Period
286-245 million years ago
Major geologic events of that time period.
Deserts became larger in tropical regions. The permian period, which ended in the largest mass extinction the earth has ever known, began about 299 million years ago. Being cold-blooded, reptiles had to find ways to deal with big daily variations in temperature, from below freezing at night to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees celsius) during the day.
Climate and Environment
Dominant organisms living at that time - animals and plant.
What are the main things travelers might like to see?
What travelers would pack for comfort and safety
You would need food and water, flashlight's ,and good amount of clothes, first aid kit,and something to call an emergency on,and also something like a resource book so you know what you're seeing. They should pack bug spray because of the many insects. They should pack fresh water because there is mainly saltwater during this period. Blanket's and pillows if they are going on a long trip and going to have to sleep on the way.
Dangers might travelers face
Assuming the climate was survivable, there were some fairly large reptiles, like dimetrodon, whom were dangerous predators. Another danger would be the large extinction event at the end of the period.
