High School Registration
8th Grade Families: Hoover and Glendale High School Counselors will be visiting 8th grade Social Science classes this Monday, February 22, and Tuesday, February 23 to help students get registered for high school. Make sure you are present and on time so you don't miss it! In addition, all HHS and GHS counselors will be hosting Zoom office hours on Wednesday so you can drop in and ask questions. Details about the office hours have been posted in your 8th Grade Google Classroom. Finally, if you have applied to attend Clark Magnet High School in 9th grade, you will still attend the counselor session for your regular feeder high school, since Clark has not yet announced which students will be accepted for next year.
CalFresh Produce Distribution at Roosevelt
This Thursday, February 25th, GUSD will present CalFresh produce distribution from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM at Roosevelt. This is a chance to pick up free fruits and vegetables for your family!
Math Placement Exam
Sixth-grade students and students in Integrated I math classes will be taking a math placement test during their math classes on Thursday, February 25th, and Friday, February 26th. This will be one of the factors that will determine if your child will move to the advanced math placement next year. PTA Sponsors a See's Candy Sale
Our PTA will be sponsoring a See’s Candy sale! The candy will be purchased online and delivered directly to the home. You can check out the online store at bit.ly/RMScandy. Orders will be shipped directly to the home and will now be available through 3/19/2021. Let’s raise some money for our PTA!!
National African American History Month
February is National African American History Month! To celebrate, Glendale Unified will be presenting speakers every Wednesday in February. This Wednesday, February 24th, we will have two amazing guest speakers starting at 2:30 PM. Verizon Chromebook Case
Please ask your child to check for their VILS Chromebook case. If the case is lost or missing, please contact our librarian, Mrs. Thombs at Roosevelt (email@example.com). There will be a cost of $25 associated with missing cases. And we need to make sure that all students have their cases available.
