Yay! Trafalgar Clubs are Beginning!

Be on the lookout for the yellow clubs information letter this week! Forms due back by Oct. 14th!

Trafalgar Elementary offers amazing opportunities to our students to enrich their education experience here at school. We offer Before and After School Enrichment Clubs. Each child will bring a registration home the week of October 4th. Clubs will begin the week of October 25th and end the week of April 8th. Please review the grade level requirements as well as when you will drop off and pick up your child from the clubs. If you would like to register, complete the form and send back with your child by Oct. 14th. Late forms will not be accepted.

The club sponsors will receive a list of all children who have registered for their club and a list will be sent to all classroom teachers. You will NOT be sent home a confirmation that your child has registered for a club. If you sent the registration to school, your child is in the club. As the parent, YOU MUST WRITE IN YOUR CHILD’S PLANNER THAT THEY ARE GOING TO A CLUB ON A PATICULAR DAY OR THE CHILD WILL BE SENT HOME BY MEANS OF THEIR NORMAL DISMISSAL PLAN. If your child is participating in a morning club, there is no need to inform their classroom teacher.

Morning clubs are 6:30-7:25 or 7:25-7:55 and after school clubs start at dismissal and at 3:00 PM. If your child is already registered in the Voyages Program for after school care, your child will be sent there when clubs end. Thank you!

Drama Club is Ready to Begin!

Who can audition?

Many students signed up for auditions by sending back a form at the beginning of the year, however, any child who goes to Mrs. Blanco's classroom at dismissal on the designated day below is able to audition as long as the parent knows to pick the child up at 3:00 and a change of transportation note is written in the student's planner and shown to the classroom teacher.

When are auditions?

Monday, October 11th - 5th grade auditions

Tuesday, October 12th - 4th grade auditions

Wednesday, October 13th - 3rd grade auditions

See you then!

Storybook Parade

Friday, Oct. 29th, 8:30am

Trafalgar Elementary School

Trafalgar will be having our Storybook Parade on Friday, October 29th. To participate in the parade, students must dress as a storybook character and carry a book with the character. No Halloween masks are allowed (especially covering the entire head), and please no scary or gory dress, play knives, or guns. Students participating may want to bring uniform clothes to change into after the parade, especially if they have PE. If your child is not participating in the parade, the expectation will be that your child is in school uniform.

Just a visitors on campus. We are sorry parents! We will share pictures on social media and in the yearbook.

Caught Reading!

Hey Parents and Families,

We need your help!

We want to see all of the amazing reading that is happening at home! Snap a photo of your child while reading their books at home, and email it to Mrs. Kerans at . Please include your child's name, teacher name, and grade in your email. Your child’s photo will be featured on our Caught You Reading bulletin board in the school breezeway. Way to go Readers!

Jackets & Sweaters

Hey Families!

Just a friendly and helpful reminder as the weather cools...yay!!

Please make sure your child’s first and last name are written on the inside of any hoodies, jackets, or sweaters. They are often removed and left behind at PE or recess, and your child will have to go to lost and found to find it unless his/her name is in it and an adult can get it returned. Every year we have a new collection of about 100 or more unclaimed and unmarked hoodies, jackets, and sweaters. Let's help each other and write names in all jackets and extra clothing. Thank you so much!
