Minnewaska Area Middle School Newsletter
Principal's Corner
We're so excited to be 4 days out from the start of our year! This will be your last update prior to school starting. We recognize we're sending a lot of information out, so if you miss something, feel free to ask. We will be with kids as they work through the schedule and changes from our traditional setting.
Just a reminder we begin the year on a B day. Our first two weeks will be B-A-B-A.

First Day for A Students
7th & 8th Grade Students-5th Hour Clarification
What does Hybrid and A/B Days mean for 7th and 8th grade?
The 7th and 8th grade will participate in an A/B Schedule, allowing for 50% capacity at our 7-12. Students will attend school in person on 2 days and distantly 3 days. Students attending on an A Day will attend in person on Monday and Thursday. Students attending on a B Day will attend in person on Tuesday and Friday. All students will learn distantly on Wednesdays.
With all this said, on our short weeks of school (the first 2), we will not take Wednesdays as a Distance Learning Day. Instead, it will be a B-A-B-A schedule for week 1 and 2.
We will release the A/B groups on Tuesday, August 19th to parents. Please understand that these groups have been created to keep families together. I understand these group pairings won’t be ideal or perfect but we ask for your cooperation as we continue to move forward with our plan.
