A message from the principal

We are excited that our new school year has begun! Staff and students are settling into their classroom, school routines and learning.

I met with all students to cover the common area expectations and these include:

  • Playground
  • Hallway
  • Bathroom
  • Lunchroom

This helps everyone be on the same page and have the same processes/procedures. For reference about these procedures, refer to the student/parent handbook.

My message to students this year is about how we all face problems in life but it is how we handle those difficulties. Problems and difficulties give us the chance to become stronger, better, and tougher. Students are up for the challenge and are ready to make in IMPACT this year. Check out the story from the link below that was shared with students titled, The Carrot, the Egg, and the Coffee Bean.

Our school has finished our beginning of the year testing and has begun to place students to address student needs. Family reports will be going home by the end of the month for you to know where your child is starting the school year. Elementary students completed the following district assessments:

  • Fast Bridge Reading/Math
  • IXL math diagnostic
  • 95% Phonemic Awareness/Phonics screeners

I look forward to continuing working in partnership with our families for the success of the students. If you have questions, concerns, or celebrations please contact the school at 60-745-4149.
