Christmas Extravaganza at Lockport High School
This year's Christmas Extravaganza, facilitated by Lockport High School Key Club with advisor Susan Long, was held Friday, December 17. Staff contribute new or very gently used items and students, regardless of need, are afforded the opportunity to "shop" for gifts for their family or friends. Key Club assisted with setup, break down, and room supervision. Key Club is a student-led, international, high school organization. Key Club members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, students grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the courage to engage, and developing the heart to serve. In partnership with the local Lockport Kiwanis Club, LHS students are making a positive impact on Lockport schools and community.
New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Fall Scholar Athletes

To receive Scholar-Athlete individual recognition with a pin, the individual must have a GPA of 90.00 or above. For the Fall 2021 season Lockport had 11 teams and 111 individuals qualify. Students in Mr. Smith's classroom are writing as Sumerian scribes using ancient cuneiform in clay. Scribes were trained to write cuneiform, a system of characters, and record many of the languages spoken in Sumer. These characters made it possible for people to share ideas, which were transmitted through writing on soft clay tablets. Sumerians were a people who settled on the flood plains of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in what is today part of Iraq.
Anna Merritt Elementary School
George Southard Elementary School
