This Week at MHS
Here's what's happening November 22nd-26th!
Dear MHS Parents and Students,
We want to give a huge shout out to the cast and crew of Mamma Mia! The show was fantastic and we can’t wait to see what’s next from the Theatre Department.
This week students only attend on Monday and Tuesday, with Wednesday through Friday off for the Thanksgiving Holidays. From our family to yours, we wish you a holiday filled with blessings, happiness, and family!
As the weather gets cooler we all want to stay as warm as possible. Sometimes we even want to just roll out of bed and head to school in our pajamas! This is a friendly reminder that sleepwear and blankets are not appropriate dress at school - UNLESS it is part of a spirit day activity. We ask that you roll out of bed, change out of that sleepwear, and still make it on time for first period. Thank you!
Calling all Red Rebel Fans! Our Football team heads into Round 4 of the Playoffs and will compete against Oakland this Friday, November 26th at MHS. It's time to pack the stadium. Please purchase a ticket and join us in cheering for our team!
The Black and White Dance will be Thursday, December 16th at the Hilton. Students will be permitted to bring outside guests. More information to come!
Wishing you a great week!
SCHOLARS BOWL WINNERS!!!!!
This year marked the 38th year for the East Tennessee PBS Scholar’s Bowl competition, and Maryville High School sent three teams to compete. While the B and C teams fell in the first round, the experienced A Team began the tournament by defeating Science Hill High School in the first round followed by Catholic High in the 2nd round. Three weeks later, Unicoi County fell to MHS in Round 16 and Science Hill’s second team were beaten in the Quarterfinals. This past Thursday, MHS defeated Cherokee High in the Semifinals and followed that by defeating last year’s runner-up - Hardin Valley - in the finals!
To become the last team standing from the 51 teams that entered the competition, Maryville High School outscored their six opponents 3430 – 1440. Congratulations to this amazing team.
Pictured in the photo below from left to right are Eli Stidham, Adithya Madduri, captain Henry Chen, Andrew Rickman, and Teddy Astor. Standing in back is the coach, Dr. Corey DeHart.

The more items you bring in the more likely you are to win. We appreciate your donation and how it will help the community.
