Friday Night Football Game Expectations...
In a continuing effort to assure the safety and enjoyment of all Lago Vista High School football games, the following procedures will be enforced during home varsity football games at the LVHS stadium:
1. All students 5th grade and younger must be accompanied by an adult guardian in order to attend Lago Vista High School varsity football home games. The students must remain under the supervision of that guardian while at the stadium.
2. Standing, loitering or horseplay under and around the stadium stands, concession stands, or any other area is prohibited. There is absolutely no standing allowed by the rails and walkways in the stadium stands. Repeat offenders will be required to leave the stadium and campus.
3. Revealing, provocative and/or inappropriate dress will not be allowed, nor will inappropriate behaviors or foul language. Repeat offenders will be required to leave the stadium and campus.
4. Once inside the stadium, middle school and high school students with a student ticket will be allowed to sit in the designated student area on the home side of the stadium. Students are allowed to sit in the reserved or general admission sections only if they are under the supervision of an adult guardian.
5. The use of alcohol, controlled substances, tobacco, and electronic cigarettes are prohibited on school premises.
6. Only pre-approved individuals will be allowed access to the sidelines and track during football games. Parents of children participating in any halftime activities may not enter the sideline gate until 5 minutes are left in the first half. Only one parent or adult family member may accompany a child participating in a halftime activity. Both parent and child must exit the sideline immediately following the performance/activity.
A message from the district nurse...
Special note to all parents looking for an alternative for their child's EpiPen.
While I don't typically endorse one product over another, I feel like this is a matter of real safety. Parenting kiddos with severe allergies are struggling to afford what their child needs to be safe. The recent price hike for EpiPens is becoming a serious burden for families. An alternative that can cost 75% less can make a big difference.
There is another maker of epinephrine autoinjectors that are much more reasonable, Adrenaclick. To learn more, go to http://adrenaclick.com/
to learn more. Please note, pharmacies are not allowed to make a substitution from Epipen to Adrenaclick so your doctor will have to write the Rx specifically for Adrenaclick.
I hope this gives parents an easier option for their child and their budget.
