Otto Middle School - September 30, 2013
End of the First Six Weeks - Already!
Thank you for an outstanding start to the school year. We are already at the end of the first six weeks! Now that we have the students into established routines, it is time to turn our attention to interventions. I ask that you create interventions that stimulate cognition and create an interest in learning. This will be our focus with interventions for the remainder of the semester.
Tuesdays are Bobcat Spirit Days. Bobcat attire and our school colors are encouraged. Remind your students as well!
Students who failed a course for the six weeks should be in tutorials. Please inform the parent and make sure your students know the tutorial schedule. Students should have the official school tutorial pass or a note from their parent. Don't forget about Bobcat Central!
- Keep track of your class period - please release your students on time
- No passes should be issued during the first ten and last ten minutes of class
- Remember to be in the hallway between classes...don't forget to hand out your Bobcat Bucks!
Staff Member of the Month
Here are some comments staff members had to say about Bonny:
“She has gone out of her way to ensure I was comfortable with Connected Math and has welcomed me with open arms into the math department. She has already showed me many ways to help my students grow mathematically.”
“Mrs. Pan is very likable and she has been able to build a great teacher/student relationship according to the students. They have high regards for her because she does everything possible to earn the trust from students, especially if they have difficulties of any kind.”
“She is a great teacher and inspiration for all of us.”
Congratulations, Bonny! We appreciate you for outstanding teaching and the positive relationships you have created with your colleagues and students.
