Magers Memo
January 12th, 2018
To make you smile! Cooper Ryan is growing!
Staff in Need:
Dottie has been out with pneumonia the last two weeks. Please keep Dottie in your thoughts and prayers as well. We miss you Dottie but are glad you are staying home to get better. Hoping you will feel better soon!
With flu season upon us, please have students clean desks with Clorox wipes weekly to help prevent sickness. This is something we generally do every winter and it seems to help! Please make sure you are also taking care of yourself!
STEAM NIGHT
If you do not see your name on the form please add your name next to an activity you would like to host. Jennifer will provide all of the supplies you need, you will just be responsible for laying them out supervising the activities throughout the evening. No more than 2 teachers per activity. If you want to split the time with your "partner" you are also welcome to do that.
A staff meeting is on the calendar for the Tuesday of that week and I am cancelling that due to STEAM Night. If you do not see your name on this list, please sign up to supervise one of the activities that does not have a staff member filled in. We have several volunteers from Glendale coming over so chances are there will be 2 adults at each activity.
Each student will receive a map and a lanyard when they arrive and will use the lanyard to check off completed activities. Free prizes will be given away every 15 minutes (I will announce over the intercom).
This flyer will be included in the Scoop today and sent in Friday Folders next week:
Reminder:
"An employee will not receive compensation, other than the compensation received from the district, for tutoring students currently enrolled in a class the employee teaches unless authorized by the Board of Education. Any private tutoring of students for a fee on district property is subject to facility usage policies and procedures."
If you are tutoring at Sequiota and receiving compensation, you either need to stop or let Melba know, as you will need to begin paying the district facility usage fee. Also, per policy above, you cannot tutor students in your own classroom. Please let me know if you have questions.
