Panther Post

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
We had an up and down week for sure. We had one of the best orchestra concerts I have seen in middle school on Tuesday, followed with boys and girls track and then an excellent band performance as well. This was coupled with a letter I hope to never have to send home again. I always will try to be transparent and informative in the quickest way I can. Sometimes things will prevent me from doing so for many reasons, such as an open and ongoing investigation, but just know you will get important information as soon as possible. I thank you for your continued support.
Next week we start orchestra and band UIL and I can't wait to hear them. They really do make us proud. Our kids and our community will be defined by the efforts and many success those efforts bring. Always remember that. This is the image I choose to promote, and I hope you do as well. Negativity brings everyone down. I am so proud of everything from the students, staff, parents and community and you will always see me as a cheerleader for them all. Let us all come together in that same effort.

LOPEZ PANTHERS LEAD, SERVE AND INSPIRE
What better way to Learn and polish your leadership skills than to practice them each day on the campus of Lopez MS. Do you want to be a part of the BIG picture of Lopez?
Are you a current 7th grade student?
Are you interested in PALS?
If you are dedicated, responsible, a good listener, compassionate, have good attendance and want to serve your school and community, you may be a good candidate for PALS. We strive to have a diverse cross-section of peer helpers. Our PALS group should be from a variety of student groups-it is not a popularity contest and you do not need to have all A’s ( you do need to be passing though). An especially important characteristic of a good PAL is that he/she likes to work with others, serve in a helping way and mentor younger students.
Apply to become a LOPEZ PAL.
PALS applications will be available on March 18 in the counseling office and due on April 1, in the counseling office by 3:50 p.m.
Please have a conversation with your child about the amazing opportunity of being a Lopez PAL. If you have any questions about PALS or any questions or concerns about how PALS class can fit into your schedule or plans for future courses in NEISD please see Mrs. Volz.

P.S. When you have former Lopez PALS siblings and friends of former PALS asking when do I apply to become a PAL, you know the experience was a win-win.
