Principal's Update
November 2023
We are so grateful for Early Release and In-Service days so teachers can dig into our new Bridges Math curriculum. I've been observing both Number Corner and Math lessons and the engagement of our students is amazing! The way students need to learn math now is very different than the way we've learned math in the past. Our students are developing number sense and learning how to solve problems in a variety of ways. On Thursday, November 9th the district will be having a Math Information Night for parents/guardians at Twin Oaks Middle School from 6:30-7:30 pm. This would be a great way for you understand the mathematical practices your student will be learning this year. It will also free up time at conferences, allowing for more dialogue about your student without the new math explanation. Here is the link to register for Math Information Night.
Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. It's hard to believe that we are nearing the completion of our first quarter! It's so fun to see all the growth taking place. I'm excited for you to hear all about your student at conferences!
With gratitude,
Mrs. Yetzer

Our students will have memories that will last a lifetime.

We had some 5th grade students who stayed back from the trip to Wolf Ridge and spent the week going to Five Hawks to join some of their students who also stayed back.
