Here are some additional pieces to support your word work in Guided Reading.

  • This week, I emailed a spreadsheet that can support us with organization of systematic word work for Guided Reading. If helpful, please use.

  • Don’t forgot all the professional growth opportunities found in Jan Richardson’s Next Step book and her videos to watch over and over to fine tune our instruction.

  • If anyone else has additional ideas to support our word work focus, please share!

Title I meeting and PTO Grant Presentations

Thank you for all who stayed for the PTO presentations at the Title I meeting last night! Parents love seeing the positive impact the fall fundraiser would have in classrooms. $330 per grant!?!? That is CRAZY awesome!

Thank you also to those who stayed to help present at the Title I portion of the meeting. Parents appreciated the information shared by Brooke Mantle, Crystal Albers, Lindsey Hammann, and April Steinman about Second Steps. Doug and Shannon were awesome at presenting on PBIS and Conscious Discipline. The purpose of the night was to let parents know what we do AND how they can support it at home.

Here is some of the feedback from families:

  • Please share the homelink items on social media too!
  • Appreciate the staff and admin providing clear information for parents.
  • My heart is so full to hear about the wishing well! I cannot wait to get home to ask my littles about it! I truly believe it is a great connection of each student, to teacher, and to school family. Every child should feel connected and loved! We are very blessed to have a very dedicated staff for our children!
