In the ocean there are deep valleys,huge mountains,forests of seaweed,and many amazing sea animals. The deepest part of any ocean is the Marina trench in the pacific.

Sharks

Sharks were around sense dinosaurs were around. There are more than 300 different types of shark. Most sharks have 3 rows of teeth.

Walrus and sea lion facts.

Sea lions have 400 to 600 whiskers and walruses have 400 to 700 whiskers. Sea lions can grow up to 11 feet long and walruses can grow up to 12 feet long.

Why is the ocean salty?

Ocean water flows in rivers and picks up small amounts of mineral salt. Some parts of the ocean are saltier than others.

Tsunamis

Tsunamis are made out of under water earthquakes. Many tsunamis can be detected before they hit land.

Oceans cover about 71% of the earth. Oceans contain 97% of earths water. Oceans have a habitat of about 230,000 known species.

Strangest Ocean Animals

A sea cucumber can grow to 6 to 7 feet. The frilled shark as eel like body and 25 rows of very sharp teeth. These sharks have been around for about 80 million years.
