Culturally Aware Crozet
Programs in Practice
Crozet Elementary recognizes and appreciates everyone in our community. We welcome anyone who would like to share a skill or new knowledge with our classrooms. We have had slideshows from various vacations, knitting, woodworking, gardening, and volunteer organizations in our classrooms. Let's expand our horizons and share what we know!

Who We Are From A Historical Perspective: a study into civil rights from our first steps onto new lands, to our current state and future outlook.
For Community Night, each 5th grade student has interviewed someone that was alive and living in the United States during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s and 1960s. Students reflected upon what they learned and will display the information they have gathered using a variety of different outlets.
First-Fourth grade will share our Design 2015 projects! Be on the lookout for fantastic artwork, music, digital presentations and delicious food-weekly!
Pink and Say
Written by Patricia Polacco, Ms. Anhold introduced this connection to our 5th graders as a springboard to our Civil War unit.
Clone Codes
Ms. White is taking readers into the future with the importance of the strong connection to our past.
Encounter
We introduced the year with Encounter, written by Jane Yolen. This gave us some strong conversations about civil rights as we became more familiar with our state's history.
