The Biggest Pumpkin Ever

This story is about two mice, Clayton and Desmond, who both found the same pumpkin at the same unknowingly. Clayton nurtured the pumpkin so that he could win the grand prize at the town pumpkin. Desmond did the same so that the pumpkin could become the biggest Jack-O-Lantern in the neighborhood. Once, they realized that both of their hard work had made the pumpkin grow to its enormous size they compromised and used the pumpkin for both purposes.

To the Parent

Your child will need to bring a pumpkin to school on October 29, 2013. On October 30, 2013 we invite you to the school between 5:30-7:00pm to view the Jack-O-Lantern's created by our students. Your child will be assigned a item to bring for the party by October 29, 2013 and will be required to have that item on October 31,2013. Your child will be entered into the schools annual Jack-O-Lantern Contest and the winner will be announced on November 1st, 2013. If your child is a winner in this contest, your child's picture will be placed in the Daily Times newspaper. The consent form that will be required in order for your child's picture to be placed in the newspaper will be sent home November 1st, 2013 and must be returned to the school by November 4, 2013.
