Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

What is it?
OCD is a disorder that is characterized by frequent and unavoidable thoughts, also known as obsessions, that leads to behaviors that are repeated, often in a routine.
There isn't really a concrete cause that's been discovered but some people do believe that it happens after someone has a traumatic experience that causes them to feel unclean or messy.
Signs & Symptoms
- Constant Organizing
- Frequent hand washing
- Unbreakable routines
- Anxiety if things aren't "perfect"
- Hoarding
Treatment
OCD can be treated by cognitive behavior therapy, specifically exposure therapy, and sometimes medication.
