KES Update

March 3, 2021

March has arrived and the sunshine has too! It is so nice to see the playground busy on this beautiful day. We have had a fun-filled week. We celebrated Read Across America Day and the birthday of Dr. Seuss. March is also Women's History Month, so we will focus on that, along with our Kindness Calendar during our live morning announcements.

Attention Virtual Families...

There have been a number of virtual families inquiring about a return to the in-person setting. We would like to offer the opportunity for students to return to school. Of course, this transition process takes some time and planning, but we would love to have as many of our Hornets back in the building as possible! If you are interested in having your child return to the in-person setting, please contact either their teacher or Mrs. Nagaj no later than Friday March 12, 2021. We will gather names and meet to put a transition plan in place. The start date will be Monday April 5, 2021. More information will be communicated to those who contact us.

Big picture

A Latchkey Message...

In efforts to keep students engaged while at Latchkey, they can bring a recess type bag or box that will stay at Latchkey on the shelf. This bag or box can include small toys such as cars, dolls, Legos, crayons, colored pencils, markers, jump rope. As the days begin to get warmer we will be going outside more in the afternoon so they can include sidewalk chalk also.
