As a Provo Adult Education graduate and now district employee, Shaylee Peterson is a perfect mentor, model, and aid for the students she comes in contact with daily. Shayley’s positive attitude and can-do spirit have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and the students she serves. She has helped countless students navigate the complexities of the program, providing guidance and support every step of the way. Shayley’s attention to detail and ability to anticipate student needs have been instrumental in ensuring success. Her hard work has helped many students achieve their educational goals. Every year the school district and PESPA select outstanding ESP (educational support professional) employees to be honored at the May school board meeting. If selected, you will be given a certificate and a cash prize. Please nominate an ESP that you believe is doing a wonderful job. Think about your Secretary, Custodian, Technology, Child Nutrition, Librarians, Paras, Health Clerks, Transportation, and Maintenance workers. Nominations are due by March 18, 2023. Please open this flyer for URS (Utah Retirement Services) Webinars you won’t want to miss including:
- Tier 2 Choice on February 7th. If you are within your first year with URS, you won’t want to miss this one!
- Understanding the Tier 2 401(k) Option on March 7th. For employees on tier 2 with more than 1 year, this will have information you want to keep up on.
- Closer look at purchasing service credit on March 21st. If you are retiring and interested in purchasing service credit, this webinar will be a good resource for you.
- Applying for Retirement on April 5th. For all of you upcoming retirees, there will be questions answered that you may have by watching this webinar. post exp. 3.1

This will be the easiest step challenge you have done all year. Here are the rules of the challenge:
- Track steps from March 1st to March 28th.
- You can track your steps by phone, wearable device, Virgin Pulse, any tracking app, or google tracking sheet. Anyway you track your steps is permissible with this challenge.
- Show your Wellness Manager or Cat Miner a record of your steps.
- Deadline to report steps is April 12th.
- This in NOT a Virgin Pulse challenge, but you can track step there.

The Provo School District Foundation will recognize six outstanding individuals in Provo City School District. One administrator, one classified employee and four teachers will be selected and honored at a dinner event in April. Included is a link to the nomination form. In the space provided, please answer the four questions in as much detail as possible. Nominations must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023.
