We celebrated our 8th grade students at Mass Wednesday Night. We wish all these student well!
May 18, 2023
Wow! It's hard to believe the school year will finish up tomorrow. It’s been a terrific first year and I have learned so much. I have learned that our students and families are fortunate to have a staff that cares so much and are willing to help in any way they can. I have been blessed to work with all of them. Parents should know that here at St. Patrick, your children have terrific teachers and staff to support your children.
Two of my top priorities coming in at the start of the school year were to build positive relationships and to get to know all the students. I am pleased to say that I have gotten to know all the students, staff, and many parents here at St. Patrick Catholic School. I have learned that we have awesome kids and amazing parental support.
At the end of almost every school year we need to say goodbye to staff. Cathy Hagarty will be retiring after serving our students and families for over 25 years. Kristen Olmstead left at the end of February. Kristen and Cathy have had a tremendous impact on so many of our students and families at Clover Patch. Laura Dobson (Development Director for over 11 years), Becky Carrier (Classroom teacher/Success Coordinator) and Maria Pearson (Classroom teacher) will not be returning next school year. We want to wish them all the best.
Our students have a leadership role in Mass starting in kindergarten. Each homeroom takes turns leading a Mass. The 8th graders had their last student led Mass on Wednesday.
In Art class students learned about Amsterdam and designed homes and businesses to create an Amsterdam village where there is mostly water and less land. Building their houses upward rather than outward to save on space and taxes.
