Over 68 percent of the fresh water on Earth is found in icecaps and glaciers, and just over 30 percent is found in ground water. Only about 0.3 percent of freshwater if found in the surface of lakes



Some animals need the movement of the stream or the river to live. There are variety of animals that live in freshwater. One important freshwater animal is the trout. Many people love to fish for and eat tout. Trout live in both streams and rivers.


The weather in this condition is depending on the area where the freshwater is found. Usually how ever the atmosphere is feeling thats what the freshwater weather would be.

Plants and algae are important to freshwater. Because the provide oxygen through photosynthesis and food for animals in this biome. Slimy scum you see on the surface of a pond or lake is lunch for many of your favorite aquatic animals like turtles. Water lilies, algae, and duckweed float on the surface.


Most of the water on our earth is salt water. Nine and a half out of ten litres of water are salty. The remaining half litre is fresh water. We use this water for farming (70%), industry (22%) and home for drinking, washing and watering (8%).
