Cool Cat News
Campus Brief
Cool Cats,
Jeans all of next week as appropriate! Can you believe it? Only one more week!!!
Please start reminding all of your parents in newsletters and on FB that Thursday the 23rd is an early release day. Friday will be a teacher para workday. We will have a staff breakfast and EOY celebration on Friday morning. I sent an email explaining the contract days and exchange days. At this point I do not anticipate anyone needing to work on the 28th.
Your EOY checklist will be given to you at Monday's PLCs. I have asked that we work on scheduling during this PLC.
I have no new information on our numbers, but I'm still asking and asking and asking.
I asked that our contractor provide some clarifications for us on packing for the summer tiling.
This is how it was explained to me. There will be outside contractors in our building for up to 6 weeks. They will be on our hallways and in some of our classrooms. It is highly recommended that any personal property that you wouldn't want to disappear or be broken, be packed up and put away safely. This is at your own discretion. Rooms with tile can be assured that there will be crews in your rooms. Rooms without tile can consider it a precautionary measure because there will be crews on all of our hallways. Most of you usually move items off of the tile for summer cleaning and waxing. This is still a great idea for this summer. Be especially sure to move any of your personal furniture or bookshelves from the tiled areas. Crews will not be responsible for broken or damaged personal furniture left on the tiled areas. It is not necessary to remove everything from cabinets or countertops. I hope this helps. We have also learned that they will not retile the gym.
We received 100 new boxes yesterday, and we have a plan for coverage of kids to help with moving next week.
Remember we need all out of adoption books moved to the pallets on the hallway outside of the bookroom. Angela sent specific directions in an email earlier this week. Please feel free to keep any items that you use or like as supplemental resources.
Remember, there will be no jumpstart or literacy camp on our campus this summer due to our construction projects.
Yesterday we filled one of our PPCD para vacancies. We hired Laura Govea. She is currently a para at Groves. We want to welcome her to the Cool Cat team! We hope to hire a final para next week!
Thanks so much to everyone for being so patient, flexible, and understanding with all of the changes this summer! You ALL are phenomenal! Enjoy your kiddos these last few days! If you need ANYTHING, don't hesitate to ask!
