Esater Holiday Club

Leeds Futsal will be running a football club during the Easter holidays for children aged 6-11. Expect plenty of fantastic goals, skills, assists, saves and much more! Children can become their favourite player, playing for their favourite team and earn value based on how many goals they score, save and assist. The dates are: Week 1: Monday 11th April - Thursday 14th April; Week 2: Tuesday 19th April - Thursday 21st April from 10am – 3pm at South Milford Football Club, Mill Lane, South Milford, LS25 5BN. The cost is £50 for 4 days but children in receipt of free school meals can claim a place for free.

Big Walk & Wheel.

Thank you for participating in the Big Walk & Wheel. We are doing incredibly well! Out of 2,400 schools participating in the event, we have been in the top 150 all week. We are currently 23rd in the whole North of England, which is amazing! 67% children came to school on wheels or walking, and we have clocked up 565 active journeys. Please keep it up next week as this will make a difference to our environment and could put us in line for prizes.

Save the Date Friday 3rd June - Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

Monk Fryston School have been invited to join in the Monk Fryston and Hillam Platinum Jubilee celebrations during the day on Friday 3rd June - this is one of the Jubilee Bank Holidays on the half term holiday. School children can take part in a parade through the villages followed by a picnic (packed lunch) on the school field. This will be provided by Monk Fryston Parish Council. We hope you and your family can save the date for what will be a fun-filled, historic village and school event.

Send a shout out to a member of staff.

This is to recognise staff who have done something great. We want to recognise the achievement of all our staff so please help up to pass on your nice comments and thanks.

Pupil Absence Requests

This form should be completed by the parent/carer and returned to the school as far in advance as possible and preferably preferably with sufficient notice before the first intended day of absence.

The DfE regulations for attendance state that leave of absence during term-time should not be granted by schools unless there are ‘exceptional circumstances.’ Parents/carers must obtain the school’s permission before making any arrangements for leave in exceptional circumstances, otherwise the absence will be recorded as unauthorised and may result in a penalty notice being served.
