Please keep in mind that South Park is performing at 6:00, prior to our performance, so please enter and remain quiet so as not to disrupt their program.
Spring Break is March 26th -April 2. We return to school on April 3rd
Students and staff are working so hard to finish our year strong! The flu bug has really hit hard and we have a lot of kids and adults that have had to miss school time. It is the final lap of the year and we need to all get healthy and be at our best. Please make sure you do NOT send your child to school that has been sick within the last 24 hours. If they have had to take medicine to not have a fever, they must stay at home until they are fever free without medications. We want them here every minute they can be, but we need them to be healthy first! Thanks

Title I Helpful Hints
Help celebrate Dr. Suess’s birthday by inspiring curiosity and activate imaginations on Read Across America Day, March 2nd. “Dr. Seuss wanted his young readers to be knowledgeable, curious, and thoughtful about the world around them. His titles encourage kids to ask questions, use their imaginations, and seek solutions. In celebrating his birthday, families can honor Dr. Seuss by helping students experience the joys of wonder, possibility, exploration, and discovery.” (NEA’s Read Across America Guide 2015)
Here’s how you can help make reading more fun for the whole family:
Just Do It!---Read, read, read! Visit Nea.org/grants/13154.htm for a list of the top 100 books. We encourage all families to read for a minimum of 20 minutes per night.
Watch---See the movie after reading the book. Talk about the differences with your child: Were any parts missing? Do the characters look like what she imagined? Did she prefer the book or movie? Why?
Surf---Visit Starfall.com and the website for the reading show Between the Lions (Pbskids.org/lions) for fun alphabet and phonics games.

Major Savor Fundraiser
The 2018 Major Saver Discount Card campaign launches in Moberly on Thursday, March 1st.
Students will be selling $15 cards with 20 Buy-One-Get-One Free offers starting Thursday, March 1st thru Tuesday, March 13th.
Major Saver cards can be purchased via cash, check or online at www.majorsaver.com. The online sale can be credited back to a particular student and school. All cards purchased online will be mailed directly to the customer.
Major Saver is excited to roll out a new feature this year making online sales easier for friends and family! On our homepage you are able to enter your student’s information to create a CUSTOM LINK for your child that can be shared via social media or email. This link will automatically credit the online sale to your student when friends and family use the link to make their purchase!
Major Saver cards can also be purchased, and credited to a student, through the Major Saver App. Once the free app is downloaded to an Android or iOS device, buyers can choose a Major Saver card through the “buy cards” tab on the app. Once the buyer completes the transaction the offers will be stored in the Major Saver App. Buyers can then redeem offers directly from the app and do not need a physical card.
