Homework
Homework will begin on October 1, 2018. Our goal for the homework assignments is to enrich what your child is learning and review skills previously taught. This will consist of reading, grammar, and math. It will be sent home on Monday and due back on Friday. Teachers will go over the homework on Friday. Students will have the entire week to finish the assignments. It can call be completed on one night or a little each night. Schedules are busy and we want to be as flexible as possible. We do not want this to be overwhelming for parents or students; this is simply meant to be additional practice.
P.S. Remember, they still will need to study for upcoming tests and read each night.
We will keep track of which students complete the homework each week. At the end of each month, students who have completed their homework every week will be invited to join our monthly “homework club” celebration. Some of these celebrations could be extra recess, a movie at lunch, a Popsicle party, etc.
