Weekly Update
We had a great week at Elk Ridge! My personal highlight of the week was attending the STEAM fair. We had 22 students represent Elk Ridge with a variety of projects from sustainable tree houses to robotics. It was great to see the creativity and curiosity of our students on display!
Spring Pictures
Spring pictures are next Tuesday! Spring pictures will be class pictures and individual pictures only for those who order them. Please use this link to pre-order Spring pictures.
Screenagers: Next Chapter
Glacier Middle School will be showing the film Screenagers: Next Chapter: Uncovering Skills for Stress Resilience. This is a film that examines the science behind teens’ emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age. This film is appropriate for 5th grade on up. Here is a trailer for the film.
Half Day Lunch
There is no lunch served on April 1 or June 15 because of the half-day. We are asking families to fill it out by March 25th and a sack lunch will be sent home with their students. Please fill out the attached form if you would like your child to be sent home with a form on either of those days.
Volunteers
We are now able to welcome volunteers back into the building! If you are interested in volunteering at Elk Ridge, please fill out a Volunteer Application through our Frontline Hiring system. Specific information regarding volunteer requirements is available there.
Thank you, Ranger Families, for your partnership and support!
Reminders
- Please contact the office if there are any changes to your child's end of day transportation for the day.
- Please keep your child home when they are sick!
- If your child will be absent, please call the office to let us know!
- Please be mindful during arrival and drop-off times, whether you are on our campus or on a neighboring street. Our goal is for students to arrive and leave school safely each day! Please remember that drop off is not a place to park. If you are here early and want to wait until the bell rings to send your student out, please park in the parking lot rather than waiting in the drop off loop. Thank you!
