Our Mission:
Message from the Principal
Thank you for a great teacher appreciation week. It was wonderful to see both students and parents honoring their teachers. We love our teachers at Oak Ridge and it is good to get a chance to acknowledge them. It is time to make the final push for the end of the year. Continue to encourage you child to give their best effort every day. Have a great weekend.

News and Notes
2015-2016 School Year Enrollment: Our Central Enrollment Office is busy enrolling students for the 2015-2016 school year. If you have a child in your home who will be entering our schools for the first time next fall, now is the time to complete the enrollment process. If you have neighbors or friends with children who plan to attend our schools beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, please encourage them to enroll now. Having persons enroll now for next fall enables us to better plan for next school year. For enrollment information, visit our enrollment office webpage.
(4) Important Reminders For Parents
- Birthday Party Invitations may not be passed out at school under any circumstances. We must be sensitive to all students. Students who see other children receiving invitations to parties they are not invited to are hurt. The school policy is that you send invitations through email or U.S. mail. Thank you.
- No tree climbing on school property. Students are not allowed to climb trees on school property before, during, or after school. This is a health and safety issue as well as a liability issue. Parents are responsible for supervising their children before and after school. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
- Parents of students with older or younger siblings: Please refrain from allowing older and younger children to play on the playground during the school day. This is a safety concern and causes confusion to classroom teachers who are at recess.
Allergy Awareness Week: Next week is Allergy Awareness Week. Please be mindful of all our students and double check those lunches and snack for peanut/tree nut products before sending them in. Also, mark your calendar for an upcoming Allergy Walk on October 18, 2015. The walk is sponsored by FARE. it takes place at Stoney Metro Park.
