8th Grade Update
December 7, 2018
Dear 8th Grade Families,
Happy Friday! We've come to the end of another week and we have a lot to celebrate. This past week, our 8th graders adventured to the Hirshhorn to see one of the most innovative art installations that DC has to offer: Pulse! Want to know more about biometric art? Ask an 8th grader and check out our photos below!
St. John's and Georgetown Visitation application deadlines are this weekend! I've spent time with each of our 8th graders applying to these schools focusing especially on their essays. Once your essay has gone through the last round of revisions, you're ready to submit it online! The rest of our high schools have deadlines that are just around the corner, so please be sure to stay on top of them. They come at us quickly!
A note about Confirmation: please be sure to get in touch with Ms. Cinnamon if you weren't able to attend the first meeting held on November 28th so that she can update you on what you missed and next steps. Also, all 8th graders planning on receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation need to sign up for one of the 4 service evenings at L'Arche. Please see Ms. Sanoir for more details.
Have a warm and blessed weekend!
Love,
Ms. K
