Connect Ed: Friday, May 20

Good afternoon, Wildcats! We have 3 days of classes remaining before we begin exams. It is very important that students attend class as we have courses that utilize these last few days to assess performance-based skills before we enter the question-and-answer exams this Thursday.

In addition to our upcoming exams, we do have a few activities taking place on campus this week. Monday, Mrs. Crabtree has dance team tryouts from 3:30-5:00 pm. Monday evening, athletics will hold our spring awards at 6 pm. All athletes and their families will start together before moving into smaller venues for individual team awards.

Please join us for the dance recital in the auditorium Tuesday evening at 7 pm.

Exams begin Thursday. You can find our exam schedule posted on the main page of our school website. As we begin exams it is more important than ever to help your students get to school on time. We are seeing a greater number of student drivers and carpool students coming onto campus late and tardy to class. Our first bell rings at 7:15 am and students are expected to be in class by that time each day. We need students to be in place on time to help us get started with our exams on time each day. Thank you for your help with this need.

Congratulations to Shomare Hazley who placed 5th in the state shot put competition at today’s meet. Congratulations to Cameron Snead who won the triple jump and long jump at today’s track meet. Cameron is the state champion in both events!

Tonight we will enjoy the senior sunset with the class of 2022 on-site at West J. The rest of you, please have a great weekend. We’ll see you Monday.

On the Prowl with Excellence!
