On Thursday, November 11th, we celebrated all of our veterans and thanked them for their sacrifices, their patriotism, and their willingness to serve for the common good.

Meet Anna Soupir - LP's New 5th Grade Teacher

Anna is from a small town by Marshall, MN and has three siblings, two in-laws, and a doggie nephew. Her mom is also a teacher and her dad was a crop farmer and assistant volleyball coach at Southwest Minnesota State University. Anna graduated from Tracy High School in 2017 and went on to get her degree in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University.

Anna's favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends, especially at her family cabin. She also likes painting, listening to true crime podcasts, reading all of the Harry Potter books, and watching all the Harry Potter movies. Anna's favorite sport is volleyball because she grew up going to so many games. In fact, Anna loves to watch AND play volleyball!

Something you may not know about Anna: She comes from a big family and has a little over 100 cousins!

Meet Emma Strom - LP's new 3rd Grade Teacher

Growing up, Emma spent half of her time in Lester Prairie with her dad and the other half in Watertown with her mom. She went to school and graduated from Watertown-Mayer. She attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and graduated in 2020 with her degree in Elementary Education.

One of Emma's favorite things to do is bake. When she was little, she loved baking with her grandmas. For her mom and stepdad's wedding, she baked over 200 mini cupcakes. Her favorite recipe to make is her grandma's chocolate chip cookies!

Emma's hobbies include hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors! She's been deer hunting with her dad since she was 13 years old. A couple of years ago, she started bear hunting with her mom and stepdad.

Something you may not know about Emma is that she just got engaged and will be married next July!
