it's currently endangered because of human sport and destruction of habitat. They have closed off caves that are important for the bat, and are currently looking for more caves.
Location
Virginia Big-Eared Bats can be found in isolated populations located in eastern Kentucky, eastern West Virginia, southwestern Virginia, and northwestern North Carolina
