A Note From the Principal
Good Morning River Hawk Families,
We are incredibly overwhelmed by our parent response to our call for donations and help with the River Hawk Walk! You all came through both on the fundraising and the assistance for Thursday and Friday. It was a very successful event and that is thanks to our families! We appreciate you!

Southern California Vocal Association Finalists
Congratulations to our River Hawks, Elina Ghosh and Shriya Nandagiri, who are TWO of five finalists in the Middle School Vocal Solo Competition put on by the Southern California Vocal Association. They both move on and will submit for the final round May 5th! Ladies we are rooting for you and wishing you luck!

Healthy Choices 7th Grade Curriculum Reminder
Our Healthy Choices Curriculum will be presented in 7th grade Science and PE Classes upon our return from spring break. If you are looking to opt your child out of ALL or parts of the presentation, please click HERE and scroll to the bottom of the page. Be sure to select the Rio Norte/Rancho Pico form. Above the opt-out forms is the link to view the videos for the lessons below.
Our curriculum will be shared with students as follows:
PE Classes
4/10 (periods 2, 3, 1) & 4/11 (periods 5, 6, 4) = Relationships & Human Trafficking and Body Image & Sexual Orientation.
4/12 (periods 3, 1, 2) & 4/13 (periods 6, 4, 5) = Pregnancy
Science Classes
4/10 (periods 2, 3, 1) & 4/11 (periods 5, 6, 4) = Germs & Viruses and HIV & AIDS.
4/12 (periods 3, 1, 2) & 4/13 (periods 6, 4, 5) = HIV, STIs, & Transmission plus Testing, Universal Precautions, and Pregnancy Prevention.
