Principal's Update
September 2nd, 2020
Dear Families,
You may be sensing the novelty of logging on to class is wearing off, but stay strong and stay the course. While we are in new reality of distance learning, the best thing parents can offer their children is consistency and maintained expectations. Reassure your child that he/she can do a lot of things on their own. If they can't redirect them to the places where they can advocate for themselves and ask for help. And, if you as the parent coach have questions, feel free to use the preferred mode of communication that each teacher shared at Back to School Night.
One benefit of distance learning is that it has allowed me to visit more classrooms than I have been able to in the past. Seeing your children engage in Student of the Week, Morning News, and Class Dance alongs continue to be the best part of my day. I love seeing how the children interact with their classmates and teacher- they are kind, respectful, and always encouraging.
It is quite beautiful to reflect upon where we were 6 months ago, and compare it to where we are today. Our children are resilient, compassionate learners. They have taught me that when provided the tools and support, nothing is outside their reach.
I am grateful for your partnership in this. We still have quite a road ahead of us, but together, anything is possible for our children!
Love,
Annora
