Hanging, Indented, and Block


There are three types of Formats. Hanging indent, Indented, and Block style. With hanging indent all the lines are indented except the first. The first line is flush with the margin, each additional line is indented. Commonly used when citing bibliography sources. With block style all the text are aligned with the left margin. None of the lines are indented, commonly used when formatting business letters and memos. With indented the first line is indented
