The Life of Charles Dickens
Charles Dickens was born in February 7th, 1812, in Portsmouth, England. As a child, he always dreamed of having an education. When Dickens was 12, his father, John Dickens was arrested for not paying debt. At that time, Charles started working at a factory, which he absolutely loathed, to try and raise money to pay the debt. Charles was later released form his job and his father was fortunately freed from prison.
He is an author with very well known books. Some books that he created are "David Copperfield" and "The Christmas Carol".
Dickens was married to Catherin Hogarth. Catherin's sister, Mary Hogarth, went to live with them but, Mary suddenly died of heart failure. That was when Dickens fell in love with her.
Dickens just finished writing a chapter from another book when he had a stroke. He fell unconscious and didn't wake up afterwards. He died on June 9th, 1870.

What is the Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution is the time period where machines were being made to make jobs faster and easier. It ran from 1760 to sometime between 1820 and 1840. Well known machines that were made in the Industrial Revolution are steam engines, steamboats, and the cotton gin.
What was the Victorian Era?
The Victorian Era is a time period when Queen Victoria was ruling. It ran from June 20th, 1837 to January 22nd, 1901.
