How to raise Successful Kids

As my 2nd child prepares to graduate from high school next week (and my heart prepares to break), I strive to ensure she is prepared to work hard, persevere, and find success. I'm reading, watching videos, doing everything I can to make sure I'm doing everything I can to inspire her to achieve success.

In my research, I stumbled upon this TED talk that hit me straight in the heart. Our talks on perseverance were fresh in my mind and I couldn't wait to share this with you, my fellow parents, as we find our way through the crazy mess that is being a parent in today's world.

I hope you will find as many "a-ha!" moments in this talk as I did!

St. Patrick School

The mission of St. Patrick School is to develop young men and women with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others, and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical. Encouragement is given to students to bring their lives into conformity with God's will and plan, so that He is glorified.

Your Opinion Matters!

In planning for next year, I'm looking at all of the events and activities that we have participated in this year. These range from our community Prayer Walk and Bake Sale in August, Back to School Night, PIE Night, Trunk-or-Treat, Students singing at weekend masses, Veteran's Day celebration, Gobble Games, All school Christmas program, The Rosary project, Grandparents Day, Praise and Worship services, Service projects, School Families, and more!

I'd like to get your opinion on what you enjoy, what you don't enjoy, what you hope we never change, and what you'd like us to take a look at. Your feedback matters!

If you'd like to help in our planning for next year, please take the following 3 question survey. The answers are open ended and allow for you to write out what matters to you. Thanks in advance for your help!
