Driving Simulators come to the High School
Think it’s okay to text and drive? It’s not and our students learned why. The Distracted Driving Simulator gave students the experience of driving while texting with a virtual video simulation. Thank you Ms. Keeney for organizing this event!

Calculus Club is offering tutoring after school daily in room 417. Sign up using the QR Code
Calculus Club is also holding a fundraiser for the Cardiac Unit at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia CHOP. This is The Calculus Club's HOP to CHOP. Use the QR CODE on the flyer to find out more about the fundraiser.
PMEA District 10 Jazz Band
Congratulations to the PMEA District 10 Jazz Band for performing a swingin’ concert under the direction Dr. Sherrie Maricle hosted by Bangor HS. Nicholas Gombocz proudly represented Saucon Valley!
This coming week, Rachel Myers will represent SVHS at the District 10 Band Festival hosted at Nazareth HS.
SVMC Meeting
The next monthly SVMC meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 6pm in the choir room. Enter the building through door number 22. We hope to see you there.

Mr. Pawlowski and Ms. Casimire will present in the auditorium at 5:00. Parents will then have the opportunity to follow their child's schedule and meet second semester teachers.

2023-24 Program of Study
All students will participate in grade level meetings and will receive individualized guidance on the scheduling process. Students' course selection will be guided by their Education and Career Plan (ECP) to make sure they are taking courses that prepare them for their future goals. More information to come soon!!
Wednesday March 22nd SAT Sign Up
Saucon Valley High School will be giving the SAT during the school day on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. The cost of the test is $60. If you are in 10th or 11th grade and are interested in taking the SAT, please fill out the registration form below and submit your payment (cash or check made out to SVHS) to the guidance office NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 3, 2023. Tests will only be ordered for students whose payments have been received. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Fisher.

School Day ACT Registration
All Sophomores and Juniors,
Saucon Valley High School will be giving the ACT during the school day on April 18, 2023 to any interested sophomore and junior students. The cost of the exam is $50.50. Fee waivers are not available for the school day ACT. If you are interested in taking the ACT you can register here: https://forms.gle/7f9aUxQZnhdBd1cZ9. Along with your form registration, please submit $50.50 cash or check (made out to Saucon Valley High School) to Ms. Bonhorst in the counseling office. Payments are due by February 17, 2023. Tests will only be ordered for students whose payments have been received. Below is some information about the ACT. Why Take the ACT?
- The ACT is accepted by ALL US colleges and universities
- Students can use a calculator for the ENTIRE math portion of the test
- Results include an educational and career planning component
- Score is based on correct answers only - there is no penalty for guessing
- The questions on the ACT are based on what you learn in high school

Prom Save the Date May 5th
Full Ride Scholarship to NCC
Current seniors graduating in 2023 are eligible to apply for the Presidential Ambassador Scholarship. The deadline to submit this application is March 1st and this scholarship opportunity covers full tuition for two years!

The General Scholarship application will open to new NCC students on May 1st. Seniors should submit a general scholarship application on or after May 1st.

Safe2Say
Safe2Say is a youth violence prevention program. The program teaches youth how to recognize warning signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to “say something” BEFORE it is too late.
